Dunjic took part in several solo and group exhibitions, both in former Yugoslavia and abroad (Tokyo, Toronto, Paris). He works and lives as a freelance artist in Belgrade. Dunjic's work has won numerous awards and is permanently displayed in the National Museum in Belgrade, in the Serbian Parliament and in numerous galleries.

Vladimir Dunjic has been profiled in the Second Half of the Twentieth Century Painting Anthology of Serbian Art, as a "master of presenting the soundless atmosphere, emptiness chilled into personality". A critic describes Dunjic's style as "transcending the Gothic testimony". Dark, but compelling faces dominate and define Dunjic's paintings.
