Stojan Milanov
Born in Belgrade, 1963

An architect by qualification, Milanov turned to painting in 1985. He has exhibited throughout Europe but has achieved notable success in the United States where his work is exhibited and sold by several galleries. As an artist, Milanov is extremely versatile - his work spans human figure, urban and general landscape. In 2005, he was recognised as the best selling landscape artist, by one of the galleries exhibiting his work in the USA.

To us, Milanov's figurative art is more daring. A great observer and interpreter of human emotions, Milanov's broad brush strokes translate the inner beings of his characters to the canvas.

A critic has observed that, there was something "Freud-esque" in his expression with a touch of old Dutch masters.
