Jale is an accomplished sculptor as well as a painter. He has exhibited extensively in former Yugoslavia and other countries across the world. Barcelona, Lima, Paris, Athens, Detroit, Berlin and Beijing are just some of the places where Jale's work was shown to the public in solo and group exhibitions.

Jale has won many awards over the years and his significant pieces form part of permanent collections of major institutions such as the National Museum and Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade.

Jale has been profiled in the Second Half of the Twentieth Century Painting Anthology of Serbian Art. An art critic wrote "Jale is above all an explorer of form in painting, or rather of the existential problems of form. His shapes are not beautiful, they are authentic, they are convincing. Deformation is a constitutive element of the humane figure and has the function of emphasizing its expression. Form is plastic, voluminous, sculpturally conceived". Jale’s 270 page monograph was published in 2007.
