Aleksandar Cvetkovic
Born in Aleksinac, 1947
Aleksandar Cvetkovic completed his graduate and post-graduate
studies, in 1973 and 1975 respectively, at the Academy of Fine Arts in
Belgrade. He is a member of ULUS - The Association of Fine Artists of
Serbia.
From 1975 to the present day, Aleksandar Cvetkovic's work has reached
audiences worldwide - Geneva, New York, Paris, Mexico City, Tel Aviv,
Athens, Moscow, Warsaw, Istanbul, Manila, Kuopio (Finland), Melbourne
and the nations of Former Yugoslavia, winning numerous awards and critical
acclaim: "Aleksandar Cvetkovic is a typical representative of post-conceptual
figuration of the seventies of the last century. Over the years, Cvetkovic's
work evolved into an associative abstract art, challenging in matter and
conveyed through traditional and contemporary iconographic symbols".
Aleksandar Cvetkovic has been profiled in the Second Half of the Twentieth
Century Painting Anthology of Serbian Art.
